Meet Lesley - Owner of SXP Designs & It's good 2 give Supporter
Lesley McLaren has been a big supporter of It’s good 2 give for many years now and is a regular at our online events and donates a percentage of her jewellery sales to our charity.
Here she is in her words to tell us about herself and her involvement with It’s good 2 give.
Hi, I’m Lesley and owner of SXP Designs, a local Edinburgh business specialising in contemporary silver jewellery, luxurious Scottish cashmere and a selection of accessories for the discerning lady.
It has been my privilege to work with Lynne and IG2G (a charity very close to my heart) for over 10 years now. I have watched this wonderful charity grow over these years with incredible energy and drive put in by the amazing Lynne and her incredible team and I love having the opportunity to work with them. When you see the smiles it brings to the faces of so many young people you can totally see why so many love to support it.
As a parent with a disabled child (now almost an 18 year old adult) I completely understand how important this wonderful charity is for the help and support it provides not only for the children but their families as well. My son and I were very lucky to be one of the first families to road test The Ripple Retreat and I cannot speak highly enough of what a wonderful place it is. As a wheelchair user Ross just loved it and gave some helpful feedback which he thoroughly enjoyed doing for the benefit of other children and wheelchair users.
For as long as I am in business I will be supporting Its Good 2 Give with SXP Designs. I mainly do this by giving a percentage of my sales at various events held by IG2G directly back to the charity along with a piece of silver jewellery for the auction or raffle. I have also hosted some private events too and am happy to do private home shopping events for anyone who would like to raise funds in the comfort of their own home for IG2G.
