Meet our Volunteers - Kirsty
Volunteer Kirsty
In between rediscovering my sewing skills and helping my younger son make face masks for friends and family and teaching my older son to drive, ferrying him back and forth to his supermarket job along with shopping for my older cousin and her husband, I have generally been enjoying my furloughed time seeing it as a time to get on top of the many jobs around the house and garden (still plenty to do!) and getting fit.
As a long time, huge fan of It’s good 2 give! I have enjoyed meeting with the volunteers during the Zoom chats and other supporters at the last fantastic Zoom quiz.
Keeping on top of work (at Caledonian Clothing) has also been important to me as I want to ensure that we are ready to go once we are able to re-open.
As a supplier to the charity I am keen to keep the relationship going, dropping off an order for polo shirts (no contact of course) and also designing the new snack team tabard (a project which wasn’t completed before lockdown).
Lynne has now signed off the bespoke design using the very colourful smiling balls as I call them, but using the ‘pattern’ of the existing design with the very much needed pouch pocket. The UK factory that is to be manufacturing them have been in touch and production should start very soon.
I love Lynne, Shonagh, Marion, Jane and the rest of the amazing team at It’s good 2 give!
Their energy is infectious and they inspire me every day. Keep smiling everyone and stay safe, this will end a we will meet again!
