Vouchers for the Royal Aberdeen Children’s Hospital

This summer we have extended our snacks in hospital scheme for young cancer patients at the Royal Aberdeen Children's Hospital.

Working in collaboration with Young Lives Vs Cancer (formally CLIC Sargent) social workers, we have provided £500 of vouchers to the children’s oncology ward of the hospital.

The vouchers for WH Smith and Marks & Spencer allow teenagers staying in the hospital or visiting for treatment to purchase snacks and magazines. These onsite shops allow the patients to choose items rather than having to take these into the hospital with them or ask someone to bring bring something to them. It also gives them the freedom to choose what they enjoy.

These vouchers are very much appreciated by patients and their parents.

It’s good 2 give also provide snacks to the Lochranza ward in Royal Hospital for Children and Young People Edinburgh weekly and to the Schiehallion Ward in Glasgow Children’s Hospital fortnightly. These include biscuits, chocolate, crisps, fruit juice, pancakes, tins of juice, jelly sweeties and so much more.

We couldn't do this without the amazing fundraising of our supporters.

Thank you.
