We've been 'Buzzy'
This month we were busy making hospital deliveries again this time to the Oncology ward of the Royal Hospital for Children, Glasgow.
The nurses at the hospital had asked us if we could help them by providing the ward with some Buzzy4Shots.
Buzzy is a cute vibrating bee with ice pack wings that decreases sharp pain caused by the likes of jags and needles when placed on the body. It uses natural pain relief by confusing the body's nerves, dulling or eliminating sharp pain in the same way that rubbing a bumped elbow helps stop the hurt,
These fun looking little bees are a great distraction for young cancer patients when they are in hospital receiving a procedure with needles, the cooling wings numb their skin and the buzz distracts from the needle insertion.
We couldn’t provide the children’s hospitals in Scotland with tools such as these without your help.
We are very grateful for all your support and donations.
