Pay it Forward Day 2021
Pay It Forward Day is a worldwide celebration of kindness that takes place every year on 28th April.
Inspired by author Catherine Ryan Hyde’s Pay It Forward movement, Pay It Forward Day started in Australia in 2007 as a celebration of how one small act of kindness can make a big impact in the world. The day is now recognised and marked in nearly 90 countries.
There are many ways which you can help make a difference today, simple things like checking on a neighbour, smiling at the person that serves you in the shop or making a charitable donation.
So, this Pay it Forward Day, we are asking you to show the families we support a small act of kindness by making a donation to us via our Just Giving Page.
You could donate:
£5 or £10 to provide lunch voucher for a family while they are in hospital for treatments.
£10 pays for four colouring books for children in hospital or staying at our Ripple Retreat.
£15 for one of our Ripple Retreat jigsaw puzzles that a family staying at our Retreat can complete during their stay and take home to make again and again.
£25 for a voucher for supplies from D Campbell & Sons Butchers for a family to enjoy special meals when they stay at the Ripple Retreat.
£100 for a supermarket e-voucher to help a family with a new or relapsed childhood cancer diagnosis.
or
£200 to provide snacks for an entire week for the Lochranza Ward at the Royal Hospital for Children and Young People in Edinburgh and Glasgow Children’s Hospital Schiehallion ward, helping over 50 daycase families and inpatients in each ward.
