Snowy Edinburgh Christmas Cards

One of our long term supporters is Alison Leslie. She has been a supporter and volunteer of It’s good 2 give for over 10 years helping us at events such as the Kiltwalk and the Edinburgh Bakers’ events.

Alison is also a very talented photographer and is well known for her photos of Edinburgh on her social media channels.

This year, Alison has very kindly donated five of her fantastic Edinburgh snow photos for us to sell as a special pack of Christmas Cards.

The pack includes images of The Castle from The Vennel, an early morning snap of The Royal Mile taken at 6.25am, a lovely shot from Dean Bridge, a cityscape image from Calton Hill and a daring photo of Greyfriars Bobby captured amidst some horizontal snow!

These images have been printed as A6 sized Christmas Cards in packs of 10 (2 of each image) with envelopes which we are selling for just £4 to help raise funds to support young cancer patients and their families. The cards are printed on recycled paper and are 100% recyclable.

Talking about the photos Alison said:

“I took many snowy images in early 2021 and sold them in various formats with all profits going to It’s good 2 give.

It was a great way to share my images of Edinburgh to the world (a lot of overseas sales) and raising money whilst in person events couldn’t happen.

I was honoured to be asked if my images could be used for 2021 christmas cards and I was more than happy to donate them. This is the only way you can purchase my work for the remainder of this year.

The Vennel one is my favourite as I have waited 11 years to get it with fresh snow and no footprints! It was a Saturday morning when there was no snow forecast, but it started about 7am and I rushed out to catch Edinburgh covered in the white stuff.

The Royal Mile phone boxes has been viewed by over 5 million people! I’m hoping that I can sell lots of these packs via my social media channels to raise money for the wonderful wee charity that is - It’s good 2 give”.
