2 Minutes with Aud Noble

Meet Aud, one of our parent Ambassadors and mum of the amazing Kira.

Find out a bit more about her and what she has to say about being part of the It’s good 2 give Family.

1.   How long have you been a Patron/Ambassador for IG2G?
I have been a Parent Ambassador since 2015.

2.  What inspired you to choose IG2G?
This amazing charity looked after us both throughout my daughter Kira's cancer treatments on the Oncology Ward in RHSC Edinburgh .
We always looked forward to their visits to our room with yummy snacks .....and the friendly banter was the highlight of our days . They are still a huge support to us now , although Kira does treatment predominantly from home.
We absolutely wanted to give back to IG2G , so we had no hesitation in accepting Lynne's request to us to become ambassadors for the charity .
There is a very strong sense of instantaneous belonging and camaraderie in joining the It’s good 2 give Team. You are accepted and welcomed by everyone, as part of the family immediately.
I just love to meet new people , so being involved with the charity gives me plenty opportunity to network (my fave pass time!)

3. The 6 famous people I would invite to a fundraising dinner would be :-
Miranda Hart ; Sarah Millican; Kevin Bridges; Michael McIntyre; Russell Kane ; Billy Connolly . It would seem I enjoy laughing ! 😂

4.  Has there been one special moment with IG2G you'd like to share?
A very special moment with IG2G was our first attendance at the 10th Anniversary Ball in the Sheraton Hotel Edinburgh. In previous years, Kira was never well enough to attend. It was very special when we made it to the 2019 event.

5. What is your favourite .......book, film, food, drink, animal?
Favourite book is Diary of Anne Frank ; Pretty Woman is my fave film : Fave food is Penne Arabiatta ; Diluting Lemon fave drink ; Favourite animal is a dog (GSD being the ultimate fave!)

6.  If you were marooned on a desert island for a year, what 3 items would you take with you?
A notepad, pen & music.

7.  If you could only play one song for the next 6 months, what would it be and why?
My song would be "Don't Stop Believing" by Journey. This was my fave song as a teenager ....and still is today , when I'm no longer a teenager.

8.  Which singer would you choose to perform a song at an IG2G event?
It would have to be Paloma Faith.

9. What would the title of your autobiography be?
“Life is a balance between holding on and letting go.“
