2 Minutes with Anne McMenigall

Meet Anne, one of our Patrons.

She tells us some interesting facts about herself including her favourite It’s good 2 give moments.

1.   How long have you been a Patron/Ambassador for IG2G?

Around 5 years

2.  What inspired you to choose IG2G?

When I heard a father of a child, who had gone through cancer treatment speak about how important the support that IG2G had given his family was to them.

I also like that it is a  volunteer led & local charity which makes it possible to easily see how donations are used to help families.

3.  If you were hosting a fundraising dinner to raise funds for IG2G which 6 famous people would you invite?

Graham Norton, Tom Hanks, Michelle Obama, Andy Murray, Billy Connelly and Tim Peake.

4.  Has there been one special moment with IG2G you'd like to share?

I am lucky to have had lots of special moments from various volunteering roles but seeing the site where the Ripple Retreat was to be built at the ground breaking ceremony was very special.

5.  What is your favourite .......book, film, food, drink, animal?

501 Excuses for a Bad Golf Shot, Charlie Wilson’s War, Mushroom Risotto, Pimm’s, Turtle.

6.  If you were marooned on a desert island for a year, what 3 items would you take with you?

Photograph of my family, golf club and golf ball.

7.  If you could only play one song for the next 6 months, what would it be and why?

Debussy’s, Clair de Lune as it always brings me a sense of peacefulness.

8.  Which singer would you choose to perform a song at an IG2G event?

Adele.

9. What would the title of your autobiography be?

Life is all about Balance.
