BECOME A REGULAR GIVER

Becoming an It’s good 2 give Regular Giver is simple.  You can do this by set up a standing order with your bank or through our Virgin Money Giving page and you can give Gift Aid. To get the standing order details please email carla@itsgood2give.co.uk.

SIGN UP TO OUR NEWSLETTER

We would love it if you signed up to our monthly newsletter – this lets us tell you our news and fundraising ideas.  We never share your information and only send out one email per month. 

JOIN CO-FOUNDER LYNNE’S 65ers TEAM

Co-Founder Lynne McNicoll has a special birthday in 2021 and has set a challenge to raise £65,000 by early December.  She is looking for 65 supporters to join the team and raise anything from £100 to £1000 each.  You can either join in just for the Kiltwalk which give you three months to fundraise, or join in the Just Giving Page which gives you ten months to fundraise for the challenge. Both options are below.

KILTWALK

Join the virtual Kiltwalk challenge in April and choose us as your benefitting Charity.   If you sign up to join Lynne’s 65ers Team and pledge to raise at least £65 each you can get free entry to the virtual Kiltwalk.  (limited numbers though – sign up soon!) please email carla@itsgood2give.co.uk for you free entry code.

AMAZON SMILE

If you shop on Amazon, you can sign up to Amazon Smile. Amazon donates 0.5% of the net purchase price (excluding VAT, returns and shipping fees) of eligible purchases to It’s Good 2 Give. Simply visit Amazon Smile and choose It’s Good 2 Give as the charity you want to donate to. 

BUY OUR MERCHANDISE

We have a small range of It’s good 2 give products that make great gifts or just terrific treats.  Take a look at the range on our website and email carla@itsgood2give.co.uk to make a purchase. 

HAVE A CLEAR-OUT

Are you using your lockdown time to have a mini clear out at home. Do you have any clothes, toys, books and furniture you no longer need?  Why not post them on one of the many selling sites that are available online, Ebay, Gumtree, Vinted, Facebook Marketplace to name a few and donate the profits to It’s good 2 give.

RAISE AWARENESS

Telling your friends and family about us is so important in helping us reach more people and letting people know what we do. Re-posting and sharing our social media posts costs nothing but can hugely improve the reach of our message. Your share could get us new followers, donations, and supporters! We are @itsgood2give on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter.

NOMINATE IT’S GOOD 2 GIVE

A lot of workplaces allow their employees to have a say in the charity that they choose.  There are also supermarkets, companies, and events looking for a charity to sponsor. Keep an eye out for these and give your favourite charity, It’s good 2 give, a mention - you never know! 

HOST AN ONLINE EVENT

We all took part and enjoyed Zoom quizzes and online events during 2020.  Our First Big Weekend In was an idea from, and organised by, one of our supporters and Charity Ambassadors.  It worked so well we repeated it at Christmas time! You could host your own online event donating the proceeds to It’s good 2 give. 

BE ADVENTUROUS

Ask your friends to sponsor you to do something you want to do but need some encouragement. Bungee jump, swim in the sea, climb a Munro or cut off your hair.  You will achieve something you have always wanted to do and your favourite charity will be able to continue the work they do. GOT A SPECIAL CELEBRATION COMING UP?

We often get donations from supporters celebrating milestone birthdays or anniversaries and who have asked their friends or families to make a donation in lieu of giving a gift.  They have told us that this was a very special way to mark the occasion.  Please do consider us if you have a special celebration this year. 

TEXT TO GIVE

If you have a little spare cash left at the end of the week or month, you can make a donation to It’s good 2 give simply by sending a text. All you need to do is text IG2G followed by the amount you would like to donate ie “IG2G 10” to 70085 and it’s done. 

ATTEND ONE OF OUR EVENTS

One of our biggest sources of fundraising is the events we put on each year, Afternoon Tea, Blingo, our Annual Ball.  They are fun and help make a such a difference.  We have our fingers crossed that these can go ahead this year and that some of you will attend.  

FUNDRAISING

Instead of giving your own money, why not start a fundraiser for It’s good 2 give.  There are 100s of fundraising ideas that won't cost you a penny. All you need to start off is an idea and an online fundraising page. You will find some ideas on our fundraising page.

DONATE AS YOU SHOP ONLINE

Easyfundraising and Give as You Live are two companies that donate to charity on your behalf when you shop online. They will make a donation to It’s Good 2 Give in return for using their links when you shop online.  All you need to do is start your online shopping on their websites, then shop as normal, it's simple.  The great thing is there is no cost to you.

DONATE YOUR SKILLS

If you have a skill such as writing, graphic design or photography, why not consider offering your services pro bono. We often need someone with these skills to help at events, and with special projects. 

GIVE SOMETHING UP

Stopping smoking, taking part in Dry January, Sober October, or cutting out chocolate pre holidays. Why not ask your friends and family to sponsor you to give something up for charity and raise some funds.

DONATE VIA OUR AMAZON WISH LIST

We have an Amazon Wish list and welcome any of the items on it for our general admin or Ripple Retreat.  

GIFT IN WILL

Leaving a gift in your will for It’s good 2 give is an extremely kind gesture that enables us to support the next generation of families who have children with cancer.  We have amazing support from PFS Solicitors who can create / edit a will for you at no charge if you leave a gift in your will to us.  Please do contact carla@itsgood2give.co.uk if you require more information.

WORK MATCH FUNDING

There are some workplaces that support their employees by matchfunding anything you can fundraise for It’s good 2 give.  Might be worth checking your work charity policy and see if that is something they could support your fundraising with.
